The Selection is a ground-breaking documentary series that takes 30 men and women with no military background through the most intense physical and mental challenge of their lives. The volunteers are trained and led by veterans of the Navy SEALs, Green Berets and Army Rangers, to find who is willing to push themselves to the very limit of human body and mind. With the instructors challenging them both mentally and physically, including tear gas, interrogation simulation and psychological warfare among other tests, the participants are driven to breaking point but can decide to leave the program at any stage. It is not a competition series, there is no cash reward, only a test against oneself to see if the mind has the will and strength to push the body to complete the challenges.
Cem Yeter was at the time co-CEO of Zodiak’s production company in Los Angeles together with Joel Karsberg, and produced the show together with Matt Goldberg, Brandon Caroll and Grant Kahler from Film 45, the production company founded by Peter Berg, the well-renowned movie director of Lone Survivor and Deep Water Horizon among others.
