Maria’s career in the TV industry started more than 25 years ago when she joined TV4, Sweden’s largest commercial broadcaster. Since then she has had many different roles, starting out on the international arena as documentary buyer, format scout and later as Head of TV4 International. She then moved to the Entertainment Department as Executive Producer and worked with a variety of shows, where her proudest achievement has been Idol (Pop Idol), a show that is just as relevant today and plays an important part of TV4’s schedule after 15 years. Maria has been a central part of the commissioning team for many years, in roles including Head of Programs and now as Head of Development where she has been responsible for development and commissioning of some of TV4’s most successful formats over the years, such as Så Mycket Bättre (Best singer), Kockarnas Kamp (Last chef standing) and Sveriges Mästerkock (Masterchef).

Cem Yeter Dare Television

With a background as engineer, management consultant and investment manager, Cem switched careers and joined the Development Department of Mastiff Sweden (part of Banijay). After selling, adapting, developing and producing several shows, Cem went on to work as Head of Development and later as Mastiff’s Managing Director. During this time he created several formats which have been produced internationally, including Trash or Treasure (Bytt är Bytt) in Denmark, Netherlands and Italy, Dropped (Det Största Äventyret) in Norway, True Talent in China and Chile and Copycat Singers in China. Cem also held the position of joint-CEO of Zodiak’s production outfit in Los Angeles for two years, and during this time executive produced The Selection for History Channel and Celebrity Wife Swap for ABC. Before starting Dare Television, Cem worked as Deputy Head of Channels at TV4, Sweden’s largest commercial broadcaster.
